Extract file with Winrar

click on ONE of the multiple .rar files to extract. Then it'll open up in Al Zip, choose a folder to extract the file to, then you should find your movie in there.

Put all part files in one folder. Then change the name of each part to be:

part1
part2
part3
part4
part5
part6
etc. ... according to the number of parts

After that just do the extraction. Extraction can be done with the application winrar or7zip.

The way is very easy to extract. Apply the extract to one part then automatically file the other files will also be processed

If the above are still not available, try to time the extract with winrar, checklist KeepBroken Files section as shown below:

But remember this is a coercive way because even though the corrupt file will still be extracted, so that if the big corrupt then the result is also not optimal, it could beanother film and partially truncated

Extract file 001 with HJSplit

Most of the archived files that you can download from binary Usenet newsgroups have the following filenames:name.part01.rar, name.part02.rar, name.part03.rar etc. You can extract those files with WinRAR or the free program 7-Zip. But sometimes you will see files with the following filenames: name.001, name.002, name.003 etc, which I will call 001 files. In this howto (tutorial) you will learn how to extract these files. Extracting isn't the right name though: normally these files are not compressed like RAR files, but just split by a file splitter, without compression. Joining would be a better term for what we are about to do.

In this tutorial we will try to join the test.mp3 file that I made. As you can see in the image below this file is split into eight pieces that we have to join before we can listen to the test.mp3 file.

We can do this with three different programs: WinRAR, 7-Zip and HJSplit. It is up to you to choose which program you would like to use for this task: WinRAR, 7-Zip or HJSplit. Because many people have WinRAR installed on their PC, I will explain that program first. WinRAR isn't the best fit for this task though, so if you currently do not use WinRAR, just skip the next part and use 7-Zip. Only try HJSplit if both WinRAR and 7-Zip fail!

With HJSplit you can not only split files, but also join the split parts back together again.

Information: a collection of split parts is set of files having all the same filename, exept for the extension at the end of the file name (.001, .002, .003, etc.) . Combining/joining these split parts is equivalent to restoring the original (pre-split) file.

After clicking on the 'Join' button in the main HJSplit screen, you will see the following screen:

To join a set of files, just perform the steps indicated below.

(1) Make sure the set of split parts (set of files ending in .001, .002, .003, etc.) to be joined all reside inside the same directory.

(2) click on the button 'Input file', in the screen directly above, which will open the dialog shown directly below:

(3) In this dialog, select the file you want to join. Then press the 'Open' button.

Information: please note that only the first file in the set of split parts (the .001 file) is visible in this dialog. Note that it is important that all split parts are in the same folder. When the other files which belong to the set of split parts (.002, .003, .004, etc.) are in the same folder, HJSplit will automatically find them during joining.

After pressing 'Open', the name and path of the file you just selected will appear in the 'input file' box, please see below:

(4) Press the 'start' button in the screen above. HJSplit now shows a progressbar with the title 'working'.

(5) Finally,you will see the message that joining is completed (see below).

That the joined file can now be found in the same folder as the split part (the .001 file you selected in step 2).
